This project took 3 images of a mosaic set and transformed and aligned them in order to create a seamless mosaic image. As shown, the algorithm uses RANSAC and SIFT to find feature points, compare them, and create a homography with which to transform the images for correct overlap.
While the RANSAC and SIFT functions were straightforward to integrate, the main trouble was creating the mosaic itself. Early attempts were unable to create a new canvas image large enough to contain all the mosaic images consistently. After correctly managing to computer the minimum and maximum dimension values for the final mosaic, it was relatively simple to create masks and combine the images for the final result.
